Although this is only partly KDE related I think it would be nice to add this 
to the sysadmin documentation nevertheless.

Lauri, would you like me to make a decent documentation of this for your 
sysadmin howto? Actually, I think Janyne's explanation together with the rest 
of the thread is about all that's needed, so it's probably only a matter of 
some copy-and-paste :-)
