Dear Cornelius, dear KDE e.v. board,

I'm Diego, and I'm a member of the www.kde-it.org editorial group.
Years ago several domains, among which kde.it and gnome.it, where taken 
by a person (probably a cybersquatter) who didn't ever do any useful 
usage of them.
Since the start of this year Carlo Piana, a Free Software Foundation 
lawyer, managed to free them (I really don't know how).

Now visiting the page http://kde.it/ gives the result in the image 
kdeit.png attached.
The italian registry of domains
http://www.nic.it/SR?set_language=en&contract=
confirms the domain is managed by Carlo Piana (see nic_kdeit.png attached).

It would be nice if KDE e.v. could manage the hand off of the domain 
from him.

It would be even nicer if we, the "unofficial" kde-it.org community, 
could use this domain to promote KDE in Italy.
I know we are not "official" in any way at the moment, but our community 
is strong (more than 500 forum users), and I don't know of any other 
representative website for the italian KDE community.

Moreover we're about to ship an updated website based on Drupal: 
showcasing it in the www.kde.it domain would be perfect!
