I had a done a bit of work on adding
DTrace<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DTrace> probes
to KDE in FOSS.IN/2008 - link to the
workout<http://workouts.foss.in/2008/index.php/Adding_DTrace_Probes_to_KDE>
In addition to QObject and QWebView, I now have DTrace probes for
QtWebKit<http://doc.qt.nokia.com/4.7/qtwebkit.html>in place now.
I got some interesting results running QtWebKit against XHR-heavy sites like
gmail and facebook.
Not sure if anyone is interested in dynamically tracing a running browser
engine though.
