Well I have a certain proposal as well. I have been thinking about this for quite some time now... but just couldn collect the bandwidth to Implement it.
I am just marking a certain idea, and this obviously would need Homework In next few days [till Foss commences] on how are we going to implement this, the raodmap and the conceptualization of it.

The Motivation:

This one comes in more with the idea of making KDE simpler, as lot many people i have talked to find KDE quite powerpacked but not knowing where things exactly are. So we can sure make things simpler for a Juvenile user.

The Proposal:
Everytime a user logs into KDE, we start some applicatons, we do get Startup Tips... showing tips about certain applications. We can use this concept toe further extend it to Log-IN. A Frameless Browser WebKit rendered, perhaps, could be used to display Things [XML BAsed] that a user would want/like to have easy access/ information to. We can have Tabs on the Top, displaying contents like:
A User's Own Info: TimeZone, Locale, KDE-Local Website, Feeds from KDE website [maybe if connected to Internet], His Profile Pic.
An Applications Prologue: The best applications he migth want to use, one they usually look for. Their Tips , Their Helps, Their IRC to contact, Their websites for further Information.
Quick Shortcuts throughout the KDE system. Keyboard shortcuts, application shortcuts. How to set shortcuts.
Basically each page has general content and How-To for associated tutorials.
Contribution/Feedback/Help/Languages Info.
And Similar more can be thought of, based on other Developers and Community [KDE-IN] feedbacks.

I know the whole of this might not be achieved at the confrence, but we sure can have the seeds sown for the project, which would ensure enough people come participate with their opinions, UI people, Language translation people,,,and best bit most of them Indian Contrbutors.

We still have 41 days to go, and enough homework could be doable on what we need to come prepared with, what all we intend to do exactly before the work-a-thon starts, and what all during it, and how we intend to take this beyond that.
