I have to apologise here as I've really dropped the ball on this one.

I still want to work on the Akonadi stuff and my little dips into coding 
with this api has been enough to convince me it's the right approach 
overall, I've just simply been too busy at work to really concentrate on 
much of this kind of stuff of late :(

Fingers crossed I can find time to do some coding and I can certainly 
help explain things to people, especially if new blood wants to work on 
it :)
