Hi, I have been working a little on this problem. I noted that if a photo that
had a file name with non-ascii characters (æåø), I would get this error
message "Error Occured: Invalid signature" We cannot proceed further. This I
found with images taken with my Olympus mju 500. I would suggest looking
into how the filenames are passed to flickr, as it appears to me that flickr
internally support æøå photo file names. I am not a good programmer myself,
but this should be fixable, I think.
However, there appears to be other "triggers" for this error message as well.
I have experienced with my Nikon D80 camera that pictures without any
non-ascii characters fail to load up to flickr, with the dreaded "Error
Occured:Invalid Signature" error message. Somewhere on a net forum, a list of
causes for this problem was posted by another user, but right now, I can't
remember where.
If someone with more development experience than me is interested in trying to
improve the flickr uploader, I have some time to do the trial and error work.
