I have another piece of information on this issue...if I select kmail as the mail client on the digikam mail window, then when digikam opens up kmail the photo shows as an attachment just like it should. However, I definitely have thunderbird set as my default mail client. If I set the mail client on the digikam window to "default", when digikam opens thunderbird there isn't an attachment window. Another odd thing is that if I select thunderbird, the binary path is set to /usr/bin/mozilla-thunderbird , but digikam returns an error saying "file binary path isn't valid". So something funny is going on here. I'll continue to look around for any other pieces of the puzzle, but I would be interested to know if anyone has any ideas.
