In terms of how to work when something like this happens, the first port
of call is "B.K.O."  (http://bugs.kde.org/). This is the Bugzilla for
KDE and pretty much all kde programs have entries there. If you'd
searched there you would have probably found the bug!

Failing and fruit from your searches there, you can post a new bug or
post an email to the ML. If you are just having a problem and you are
not sure it's a bug as such then the mailing list or IRC is a good first
port of call. Once info has been gathered via this, you may be asked to
post a bug anyway :)
