I have seen that you use digikam 0.8.x on the screenshot.

I recommend you to test your plugin with digikam 0.9.0 from trunk (actually in 
beta2) to test with the new method in kipi interface implemented by Jain to 
get tags albums like physical album.

Also there is a lotsssssss of improvements in 0.9.0 compared to 0.8.x (:=)))
