Yes, I remember tweaking this when the slideshow plugin got imported because 
IIRC it was preventing the module from compiling if imlib2 was not installed. 
I was doing this at work where there's no and I think there won't be any 
imlib2 available (Debian Woody with backports) so I could not test it really 
seriously.
