There is a little error in the kipi-plugins/kameraclient/Makefile.am file
-INCLUDES = $(GPHOTO_CFLAGS) $(all_includes)
+INCLUDES = $(GPHOTO_CFLAGS)  -I$(top_srcdir)/libkipi $(all_includes)

I don't have a CVS account to correct that
