I am trying to add Urdu language support in Kde ... the only difference in our work is that I am working on live CD named KNOPPIX ... the CD provides you the facility to customize it ... through a process known as remastering ... to be precise I can modify the folders , add and remove whatever I want ...

Now i need to know that how do i add Urdu support ... i mean what steps do I have to go through ... i've already done these

1.placed urdu font file nastaliq.ttf in folder .../X11/fonts/TrueType
2.replaced XF86Config-4.in in /etc/X11/...
3.defined a folder named as ur in /usr/share/locale/ur and placed a translated mo files which i translated using po edit ...

with above three steps i am able to get Urdu typing support but the menus of applications are not displayed in Urdu they show question marks (???) when I boot with Urdu locale...

can u tell the entire procedure from the scratch through which i am able to display Urdu properly ...

Regards and Allah hafiz
