[Kde-i18n-fa] translation rules

thought others might also find value in it, hence, I am sending it to 
the ML I suggest everyone reads this.

Dear Abbas:

I had a look at your translated file, and edited some parts of it. Here 
are my notes

First remember that though we try to establish common rules in 
translations, in order to archive our goal in having a consistent 
translation, you shall have in mind that complete consistency can never 
be achieved. That's because in translation, sometimes it all comes to 
the translator's personal preference. So when you view this file that I 
am sending you, you might disagree with some of my editions. That's 
completely understandable, because no two translator would translate 
the same. But the file that I am sending you, just shows how I would 
like it to be translated.

Next thing, you have done extremely well IMHO. I remember that my first 
translation was far worst than this. In fact, your translation is very 
well defined and useable, you just have to become familiar with some of 
our basic rules.

One important character in farsi translation, which apparently you are 
not aware of, is the virtual space. What's that? Well that is something 
that is extremely usefull, and western keyboards do not have. Open 
KBabel and in the middle of a word type Shift+Space (when farsi 
keyboard is enabled). You see what happens? Now we use this virtual 
space extensively, in a couple of situations, the most important ones 
are the "mi" prefix, and the "im" suffix. 

Mi prefix like in 'mikonam', 'mikhaham', and so on. In your 
translations, you sometimes join 'mi' to the next word, and sometimes 
separate it by a space. That's not the way we do it, we use virtual 
space.

The same is applied to im suffix, like 'kardeim' and 'dade id' and so 
on. These should also use virtual space. Take a look at my file.

Next thing is comma, you seem to use the English comma in your 
translations, the farsi comma is Shift+7 (this is on English keyboards, 
I'm not sure about Swedish ones, but you'll find it).

And next, some of the words which I edited in your translation,

And I personally liked two of your translations. First was 'barge' for 
'tab', and second was 'sare nakh' for 'hint'. We haven't been able to 
determine good translations for these words, for example in the case of 
tab, we sometimes used tab itself, and sometimes used 'safhe', which 
wasn't good because it was also used for 'page'. So this was a major 
inconsistency in Farsi KDE 3.1. Now with these suggestions of yours, I 
guess if all other also agree, from now on we use 'barge' for tab and 
'sare nakh' for hint. Everyone agree?
