hi shirin:

First of all as a FarsiKDE developer, I strongly recommend that you do no=
t use=20
one of the Beta versions to use FarsiKDE. Aside from KDE problems, the fa=
rsi=20
translation in these releases ( and specially in beta 2 ) contanins many=20
fuzzies and is not a complete translation at all.

3.0.8 is 3.1 beta 2 ( AFAIK), so it is surely not recommended for=20
installation. FarsiKDE is included in 3.1 Beta 2, 3.1 RC1 and 3.1 RC2, an=
d=20
therefore it will be included in the 3.1 final release. Currently the lat=
est=20
version of KDE which was released on monday is 3.1 Beta2.

I suggest that you wait for the actual final release of 3.1 to use FarsiK=
DE.=20
KDE 3.1 will be released on November 11 ( if the release is not postponed=
,=20
which is highly unlikely). I do think that if you can wait for a week or =
so,=20
then it is highly recommended that you try installing the final 3.1 inste=
ad=20
of beta 2.

If for any reason, you need to install FarsiKDE NOW, then please try=20
installing RC2 instead of Beta 2. As mentioned before, this release is mu=
ch=20
more accurate and stable.

The reason for your compilation problems might not be easy to figure out.=
 As=20
you didn't specify the version of your SuSE GNU/Linux, I am not sure of t=
he=20
version of your GCC. If you are using SuSE 8.1, then this version uses GC=
C=20
3.2. It is very difficult ( if not impossible ) to compile KDE with GCC 3=
=2E2,=20
as it has been designed with GCC 2.95 in mind. It is not impossible to=20
compile KDE, it is not an easy task.

Again, I recommend that you wait for the release of KDE 3.1. After that S=
uSE=20
will release RPM packages for KDE3.1, and it is much easier to install KD=
E=20
using via RPM packages. If you still insist of compiling your own, then a=
s=20
Ali mentioned, please make sure that you have all the dev packages instal=
led.

Cheers
