verified version.

It would be very helpful to know those technical issues. Then many of
reading here could point out, what was done wrong and how it should be
done right way. This would help you and the team. This way the team will
learn not to make those mistakes again.

 > Because of this, the current version in the repo is a mix of correct
and incorrect strings, which makes the translation broken for the users.
I am looking for someone with SVN/Git access who could help me perform a
clean overwrite with my verified file.

I don't think someone will do this because this is almost the same as to
give you write access without checking who you are and if you fulfill
all required criteria for a developer account described in
https://community.kde.org/Infrastructure/Get_a_Developer_Account and
therein referenced documents.

 > I have requested developer access to the SVN repository via
https://identity.kde.org. My request has been in 'Awaiting processing'
status for a few days now, and there has been no change.

A few days is OK because contributing to open source is done in private
time (same applies to admins, I think). And you could reply to mail you
have got after developer account application and ask if something
missing from your side.

 > I am requesting your assistance to perform a clean overwrite with the
correct file.

If this is really only some technical issue on the Hungarian team side
then someone of them could describe the issue here and many of us
reading here will try to help.

Best regards

Alexander
