Test Lokalize merge request 163

Hello all,

I have been working to make it possible to use Lokalize with Wayland. One of the steps towards this goal is the merge request 163, which I am hoping can be included in the 24.12 release. The deadline for code changes for 24.12 is in two days (14th). The merge request still needs some work, but the majority of its aims have been achieved.

Can translators (with the ability and time) please test the merge request here https://invent.kde.org/sdk/lokalize/-/merge_requests/163 to ensure it functions correctly? I would recommend testing on translation data and projects that are not important, in case it causes problems. You may also want to back up the settings files ~/.local/state/lokalizestaterc and ~/.config/lokalizerc and everything in ~/.local/share/lokalize/

There should not be very significant changes to the function of Lokalize. I have listed the user-facing changes in the merge request. I welcome feedback and hope to work with willing testers to make certain this merge request is ready and safe for inclusion in 24.12
