That's what I had thought and had practized until review of the previous translation string set as well. But there I learned that when the ellipsis is a substitute for complete words or phrases that at least in formal German there is a space as separator, see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auslassungspunkte#Kombination_mit_Leerzeichen
