Since you reported this issue for version 4.10 I checked Ubuntu Raring
translations. It does contain unmodified upstream translations from the KDE
language pack. See

I also checked the source code and couldn't see anything unusual. It sets
currentIndex to 1 for Text or 2 for HTML and when it opens the message it also
uses the same numbers to check which format to use so at least not a trivial
problem here.
Can anybody else confirm this problem in KDE on Ubuntu or a different platform?
