I hope I understood your last comment, I had to change the commands to get 2
lines of output:

msgunfmt /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/kdeqt.mo | grep -A 1 \"Ctrl\"
msgid "Ctrl"
msgstr "Strg"

msgunfmt /usr/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/kcalc.mo | grep -A 1 Ctrl 
msgid "Ctrl+2"
msgstr "Strg+2"
