Hi everybody,
This is my first message on that list.
I've been looking at the solid code and I was looking for a little task to do.
Finally, I coded a class to serialize Devices in an XML file.
The XML file is a tree of device including their properties and the backend
name. You can select any device to be the root node of the tree.
The patch include a modification of solidshell to include a "serialize"
command.
Example :
solidshell hardware serialize /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer dump.xml
See attached dump.xml file & serializer.diff
