Those elements are enabled or can be enabled if you start a new game. This 
screenshot is more suitable to show the feature set of the application and to 
also produce better/bigger impression about the application in general. The 
current screenshot on kde.org shows text alongside the icons which is not the 
default behavior everywhere. Also, couple of icons in the toolbar are 
collapsed and not visible which doesn't look nice.

Ok. Yes, releasing as part of KDE Application would be great for this 
application.
