The KDE-wide rules for moving have been followed, including an extended
period of review. It is clear that the intention of the author was to
have klickety back in time for the next KDE release, and he made sure
there was time for this to occur.
So, again, we are blocking things because no one says yes, and this
process is actually hurting kde games as we lose potential contributors
because we are artificially raising the bar for inclusion. And in this
case it is not even a new game, but something that lots of people are
waiting to have back since 4.x was released.
If the rules have been followed, I don't think we have the right to
block inclusion of applications in the module. What is the incentive for
people to join kde and write games if they know that games will simply
not be added, even if they have followed the procedure?
I vote yes for allowing the move. We lost contributors already (see the
case of Mancala and others.) I think we need to be more open and
inclusive, much like in the pre 4.x release times. We are navigating in
the opposite direction imo, and I don't see a justification for this. If
the next KDE SC release will be based on SVN then let people do the move
in SVN. If it is going to be part SVN and part Git, I would say that
moving to a git repository like Knights did is acceptable as well. In
any event, I would love to see these two games and their maintainers as
part of the next KDE release and our team.
