Those are all set correctly. Typically , my setup works quite well and
has for the last 2 years, except that KHelpCenter has never been able
to find the trunk docs.

I just double checked; the files are being installed properly to
$KDEDIR/share/doc/HTML/en/kpat/. Interestingly, I just noticed that
the KHC tree shows docs for Palapeli (which didn't exist in 4.3), but
when I try to open them, I'm told "The file or folder
help:/palapeli/index.html does not exist." So it would seem, KHC has
some notion of what docs are actually available from trunk, but the
help:/ KIO slave is only looking at my distro installed 4.3
documentation.

Using this technique I was able to confirm that the generated docs are okay.

That is assuming you don't have KDEGames already set up in KDevelop
where a rebuild is just one click and a couple of seconds away. :)
