I've had a go at creating this and with the basic kdelibs, kdebase and
all games and the debuginfo for them, a livecd of 620MB can be made.
The VMWare image is about 850MB compressed. I could create a torrent
for these and distribute it from my local server; I probably wouldn't
be able to handle mass distributing it via http/ftp. If we go for
torrent distribution (which I'd recommend) we need to make sure we've
seeded it all in advance.

Casper, you should carry on with creating yours. In mine I've currently got:
KDE:KDE4:UNSTABLE:Desktop
KDE:Qt

and then:
all the kdegames
all the kdegames4-* stuff including debuginfo (not debugsource) and carddecks
kdelibs4-debuginfo
libqt4-debuginfo
all the ggz stuff
open-vm-tools-gui and virtualbox-ose-guest-tools for running the image
as a guest
an I explicitly chose all the *-branding-upstream packages for the
native KDE feel

I used http://techbase.kde.org/File:Kdegames.png as the logo for the
bootsplash screen and I'm planning on popping up a browser with the
webpage about the games day so the user can get info as soon as the
image starts.
