Here I agree with you, but when we integrate with OCS it would be nice to have highscores. I believe GGZ already has functionality for this (play local, only send result to server)

We should check out the options here.

With all this talk about server, please don't forget the peer to peer case.  
It's a bit of a chore to have to connect to a central server whenever you want 
to play a game, esp. if the internal network is much better than the internet 
connection.  At least make it easy to set up an internal server for a quick 
game or two.
