In most cases, that is all you need.  There are some curly cases however,
such as messages which have embedded variables (%1, %2), messages
which have alternate singular and plural forms and messages which
require extra context to guide translators.  If your message says "Game",
for example, do you mean as in "a game of Chess" or as in "the game of
Chess", which require two different words for "game" in other languages?
Just go to http://techbase.kde.org/Main_Page and use "i18n" in the Search
box.  That will bring up several tutorials and articles explaining all this.
