Hi,
Not doing that may result in an impossible game completion scenario. Imagine
no matter what, the ghosts can reach the character. Depends on your AI also.
I think main character speed should increase too and must be nearly/equal to
ghosts' speed. Then it is up to the player to use his reflexes or instincts
to manage the character at that speed.
