yes, this is a bug somewhere in KWindowSystem and/or NET::*. everything in 
kmainwindow, xmlguiwindow and katomic is fine (i did a bunch of tracing 
through those code paths. such fun, really ;)

agreed.

i don't think that part is a fault of lubos' code. it may also not be in kde 
but in qt. i need to get the maximized window bug fixed first before i can 
productively do more tracking down of the issues though. too many variables 
atm.
