Well, it looks like I am stuck with this QGV-performance-debug karma, so 
  I will just relax and accept it for the time being... :)

Cyril Bailly sent me a suggestion on how to cut cpu usage for the Kwin4 
intro in half, by subclassing the QGraphicsView paintEvents and altering 
them. It is not meant to be a final solution, but in the case of KWin4 
it can be used temporarily while we wait for QGV 4.3, I think. It is 
commited to SVN:
