Right, it all looked a bit weird when I saw the patch, but makes sense if
those are the only actual commands available for RepBot. Will have to look
at that patch again. :-)

And the best way to get into coding is probably just that: editing existing
code. Maintaining an already existing application is a good way in and you
can always continue to send patches to the list first until you're confident
enough. Most people in KDE still discuss options and patches with others for
non-trivial stuff, that's perfectly normal for any level of experience.

Apparently you're the first to step up, so I suggest you give it a go and
familiarize yourself with CVS and KDE a bit more and once confident, you can
take over maintainership officially. Probably would be normal procedure to
send a few more patches before getting CVS access, I'm not exactly sure how
strict the policy is.. you appear benovalent though, so read up a bit on CVS
commands and then read:
