Yes, I recompile all ports containing kernel modules every time I install a new
kernel.

The latest driver for this card is the -390, and it only installs
nvidia-modeset.ko and nvidia.ko. Both are loaded in the running kernel. This
setup has been working with stable/14 and x11/kde5 but now does not anymore.

I suspect that the qt6 version of KDE requires some additional GL capabilities
which are not supported by this driver and turns off compositing entirely when
not finding them. But it may also be another issue, which is why I have opened
this bug report.

Maybe I should try to boot a Linux distro already using qt6 and see what
happens, such as openSUSE Tumbleweed.
