[kde-freebsd] Missing audio record device

Hi All - 
I'm running KDE 4.14 on FreeBSD 10.1, with phonon 4.8.3 and phonon-vlc0.8.2.1.

Hardware shows up as:

hdac0 at pci0:0:27:0:      class=0x040300 card=0x04f51028 chip=0x1c208086
rev=0x04 hdr=0x00
    vendor     = 'Intel Corporation'
    device     = '6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio
Controller'
    class      = multimedia
    subclass   = HDA

boot/loader.conf contains:   snd_hda_load="yes"


I can play sound with no problems.
In settings>multimedia, audio playback lists the 'oss' device, while audio
recording has no devices whatsoever.

Can anyone point me in right direction to troubleshoot?
