I have had to scratch the compiled ports (pkg_delete qt4*) and compiled
KDE3 to get after 4 weeks(!) a working desktop back again on my laptop;

but, I will setup a VM on some host and install r250558 and compile KDE4
(...) ports from r319094 again; stay tuned;
