i don't have any problem with -O3, -O2 or -Owhatever, but i think that 
users should still be able to customize their CFLAGS as they like, i.e., if 
they want -O1, it's unacceptable that all cmake-built ports don't 
support it. but i'm sure it can be set somewhere (and i will check later if 
no one does)

in the worst case, we can remove that setting completely from cmake
