i checked, the correct spelling is
Option "AllowEmptyInput" "Off"

add
dbus_enable="YES"
hald_enable="YES"
to /etc/rc.conf. also, you can start them without restarting with
/usr/local/etc/rc.d/(dbus|hald) start
