Humm, so this sounds like a pretty complex port to bring over then. I'll 
be glad to help test it out a bit if you can get something to a 
buildable state, but the actual porting is probably a bit beyond my skill :)

I will be taking a look at the kipi-plugins-kde4 again though, I had a 
port about ready to go previously, and was just waiting for 4.2 to hit.
