kapidox and non-frameworks source

Hi,

I've been having issues generating API docs with KApiDox v. 5.24.0 and later, at least for projects that aren't KF5 frameworks. The online documentation of the framework itself (https://api.kde.org/frameworks/kapidox/html/index.html) suggests that this shouldn't matter, but with version 5.27.0 I am just getting a few boilerplate files in the directory from where I execute kapidox_generate.

What gives here? I would like to use a single utility to generate QCH API docs for all KF5 code where this is relevant; should I be looking at other options than using KDE's own doc generator?
