>From what I can tell the test likely relies on some external element
(kiod/kded?) or some other fluctuating factor which causes the test to
pass sometimes and fail on other runs. We've had these sort of tests
before in KDE unfortunately, and it's fairly difficult to nail down
why they fail.

A subsequent run of the test did get it to pass as usual though.
