There is no need to set up slot for updateContent(). Additionally, there is also no need to put updateContent() in slotUpdateSettings() since slotUpdateSettings() already makes a call to slotSwitchtoLookGradient() and slotSwitchtoLookScheme(), both of which update lengends.
