Hi,

I will suggest both boards to have an Edu Day in Gran Canaria Desktop Summit
(not Meeting, sorry). Both boards are discussing now other problems with more
impact at this point. When it comes the time, our plan is to desgnate a local
coordinator of this activity so both, GNOME and KDE people can have somebody
to help the in the design of this Edu Day.

It has to be a huge one....

Meanwhile, keep disscussing and sending to this mailing list all the
suggesstions so I keep track of them

That third line can be cool. We'll try to have a laboratory to show and hack
apps.

GCompris developer should be there.

Carsten, KDE and GNOME people are the ones who are going to decide the
contents that Edu Day. We will help you adding the resources and supporting
tou guys. We will be the glue between kde developers, gnome developers,
deployers, politicians related with education, teachers (local and the ones
that wants to come) and students. Both canary islands colleges are involved
and they have many computers labs (many of them with kubuntu and ubuntu, by
the way) so I thinks we will have a lot of interesting people showing their
job..

I have made the same call that I did here in debain-edu and edubuntu mailing
list. I'll try to contact the rest of the distros as soon as possible.

Bye
