If you want to participate to KDE-Edu programming, it would be better if you 
are subscribed to the mailing list:

As was said, it would be good that you have a look at KAlgebra (you need a 
KDE4 environment to test it) and then you could tell us if you can work on 
that or not. 
That kind of project cannot be done alone, it needs several people to develop 
it otherwise it cannot reach a usable stage. So it's better to join some 
existing effort.
