Not with the current GUI design; there's not really room for it. The logical
place for it is the "?" drawer, by adding a fourth icon in addition to the
other three that appear on mouseover. It could be added below the "KDE"
icon, but maybe this would be too crowded.
A solution for 3.5 would be to modify the About box. There is already a link
to b.k.o on the Authors tab, but maybe instead of a URL link, clicking on the
text could be connected to the reportBug() standard action, which would
launch the regular bug report wizard. One would have to subclass from
KAboutDialog, and override the openURLSlot() function to invoke reportBug()
rather than opening the browser. I would also think the text should be moved
to the main tab of the About box, and changed to simply "Report a bug" or
something.
Anyway, this is quite a bit of work just to save the user a few clicks over
going to bugs.kde.org directly. Maybe it's not worth the effort for KDE-3.5.
However, there should eventually be a way to report bugs without having to
search through obscure locations of the About box...
