[kde-edu]: Help tracking down bugs

Hi all,

I have spent hours trying to solve bugs 
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117391 and
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112361 for KDE 3.5.1 but without luck. I 
can reproduce 117391 but not 112361 since I have been unsuccessful in setting 
up scim.

I think they are related because the first character typed is handled 
improperly whereas following characters are correct.

The relevant code is most likely in kvoctraintable.cpp -> beginEdit() and/or 
kvoctraintableitem.cpp -> createEditor() but might be elsewhere (maybe even 
outside KVocTrain).

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
