[KDE Eco] consulting about libc and kernel performance

That is a very interesting topic!

Although I believe I cannot necessarily contribute as my knowledge of Linux core libraries is too weak we have done something similar by uncovering an energy regression in Alpine and asked their core team.

Which library was exactly causal for the inefficiency is so far unknown but I made some pointers what could be next steps. We did not want to go these steps without at least augmentation from the core team to not fall into a rabbit hole.

Summary: We might not be able to help to on the core question of your request, Jospeh, but if you find somebody that could help I would be very interested to be looped in and can maybe provide adjacent support. Maybe also through our measurement infrastructure.
