Would someone in the KDE Eco community like to help out?
Enrique Barba Roque, a master's student at TU Delft with Luis Miranda da
Cruz [1] and Thomas Durieux [2], has contacted me about research he is
doing on energy hotspots and inefficiencies in different Linux
distributions and libc implementations.
As he described it to me, in their experiments they have found
inefficiencies in TCP communication in Alpine vs. Ubuntu, and they are
unsure of how to explain them. Enrique would be interested in discussing
some hypotheses with Linux experts in the KDE Eco communnity.
Is anyone here available and interested in having a meeting with him?
I have previously been in touch with Luis Cruz and his work overlaps
nicely with what we are doing in our energy measurement lab and the
research at the Umwelt Campus Birkenfeld.
Cheers,
Joseph
