Summary: 1440p monitor does not work after nvidia driver update
Classification: Applications
Product: khelpcenter
Version: unspecified
Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal

Component: general

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Dual Monitor setup:
I have been unable to upgrade my NVIDIA drivers for the last few months due to
my 1440 monitor not working after upgrading. Sometimes the desktop environment
crashes completely. My 1080p monitor works but keeps flashing, like its
detecting my 1440 monitor and about to display both but the connection fails
and goes back to displaying all my desktop icons on my 1080 monitor and is
stuck in a loop until I unplug my 1440 monitor entirely. If I unplug my 1080
monitor then my 1440p montior still shows nothing. I then revert to the last
known good system state and everything works fine again.
