This is not a hardware issue : on the same computer (dual boot), the touchpad
does work with Windows 10 and Trisquel 8 (based on Ubuntu 16.04).

The trouble sometimes appeared when a terminal window (Konsole) is open, after
doing a double click in the title to maximize the window. But I can not
reproduce it every time :( .

This might be a kernel issue (currently version 4.15.0-38-generic) but I have
no idea how to report it...
