Afaik US keyboards have the text Backspace + arrow left and Enter + arrow down left, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Unicomp_keyboard.jpg
On all german keyboards I've seen the Backspace key has no text only an arrow left and the Enter key only an arrow down left.
Therefore from my pov keysym markup is is appropriate here.
