Please consider that a lot of documentation is shared between Kate + KWrite 
(Menu / Editor Settings), but with small differences.

I'd prever to keep this in sync as much as possible, so what about this 
wording:

"This overwrites the ...foo... mode on the <guilabel>bar<guilabel> page of the 
editors settings."

Or if you wnat to refer to a tab on a settings page:

"This overwrites the ...foo... mode on the <menuchoice>
<guimenu>bar</guimenu> <guimenuitem>baz</guimenuitem>
</menuchoice> page of the editors settings."

Then it  could be used in both docs.

Anyway thanks for the pointer.
