I can reproduce this with kubuntu 11.04 / kde 4.7.0 and a debian package kipi-
plugins-doc_0.1.5-4_all.deb (Revision 0.1.3 2008-02-13).

The documentation passes checkXML, but has duplicated title markup, eg 
acquireimages.docbook:
<title>Acquire Images</title>
[snip]
<title>Introduction</title>

Apparently khelpcenters navigation tree picks up the second title.

With a patch like
